 Water Quality Maintenance For Scalers

Parkell has tested several shock products for safety with our scalers. Testing has shown that diluted bleach can damage the scaler’s internal components, especially with repeated use over time, so it should not be used.

The products we’ve confirmed safe when used as per the manufacturer’s instructions are:

• Liquid Ultra (Crosstex)
• ICX Renew (A-dec)
• Monarch (Air Techniques)

For these three products, it’s important to remember that we are only confirming they are safe for the scaler itself. Their effectiveness in bringing the water in your office into compliance can only be verified with regular waterline testing.
